я вот думаю что это может быть Елена ( ее убьют и она станет вампиром),потом Бонни (т.к. у нее теперь много сил,может просто напросто не справиться,или помешает кому),Джон (ну не знаю,насколько его можно назвать основным),Кэтрин (принесут в жертву по надобности),Аларик (без кольца все-таки остался),Мэтт (он слишком много знал )
а вобще,мне не кажется что уберут кого-то из каста,ну я имею ввиду Стефан-Деймон-Елена.Смысла нет убирать персонажей,у которых очень много поклонников

по-моему мнению,смерть Аларика уж не слишком повлияет на сериал...а уж тем более Дженны или Мэтта <_<

If you are going to complain then don’t read, however I am always up for a friendly debate if anyone would like to add on or disagree with something.

This is based on the idea that the Sacrifice is the season finale episode.I figure the easiest way to go through this is to go through character by character.

Main ones out of the way: I think it is safe to assume that Damon, Elena and Stefan are safe, they have suggested far too much that the Damon/Elena relationship is being built on to, to kill one of them off, and they have only just got to a crucial part in Stefan and Elena’s relationship where they talk about her mortality. Both of these leave far too many possible plots to go into so the show would in no way kill them off. I also believe that they will save killing/changing Elena until they either run out of possible plots or the ratings get low, and we know that isn’t happening at the moment.

Jenna Sommers: I think from the promos I can write this assuming she discovers the truth that everyone is hiding from her. Which obviously leads a lot of people saying “Maybe they’ll kill her?” I don’t think this will happen. Jenna is the only parental figure in Elena and Jeremy’s life, they lost their parents, and I don’t think the show would put the Gilbert family through that much pain and grief,in my opinion if everyone of their parental figures died it would be too much, especially for Jeremy (his mum,dad,Vicki,Anna,and his sister isn’t his real sister). I think it would be too much death in that family.

Jeremy Gilbert: Jeremy raises the same concerns as Jenna, would they kill that many Gilbert’s off? Point one on why I think Jeremy will survive. I also think he will make it through the finale because he has become a strong character with a lot of growth. He has gone from a emo, drug addicted boy to someone who fights for what they believe is right (vampires) and has finally found someone alive to be with. They Bonnie/Jeremy relationship has a lot of potential in it still- does Jeremy tell her to stop pushing herself? Would he put Bonnie at risk to save Elena or vis versa, and would the relationship last after the sacrifice stuff is over? (Which is what really brought them together, him looking out for her).

Caroline Forbes: Sadly, I think it is possible for her to die. Although she has grown a lot as a character over the last season, this has been used to show the loyalty she has for Elena, she eventually went to Elena’s side after Katherine threatened her etc, I think because she is so loyal to Elena she could die trying to protect her. Although if you also look at the relationships she has on the show, she has a lot: Matt and Tyler triangle (Tyler comes back before the season finishes so I think that triangle will evolve more and Matt now knows her secret) and her friendship with Stefan (with out her, he is basically only good friends with his girlfriend). Another thing to suggest she might be killed off is that there are now a lot of humans-turned-vampires roaming Mystic Falls now, on the contradictory, she is pretty much the only female vampire, and is quite a bad-ass.

Katherine Pierce/Katerina Petrova: Anyone familiar with my slight love for her knows how painful it is for me to write this, but I truly believe she is one of the characters to die at the end of the season. She is in town and preparing to clash with on of the vampires who have been hunting her the last few hundreds of years, and as soon as Elijah comes back to life he will certainly not be happy about her being free. I think that Katherine has seen that she is in quite a hard place though, her only way to be free is to attempt to fight with Team Salvatore,almost everyone else wants her killed. I read an idea that said event though she will die, she will die redeeming herself. I strongly agree with that, I think that when Katherine dies, she will die protecting Elena. If she knows she is going to die, it would be a very Katherine thing to do to sacrifice herself (in a way) and save Elena, this will leave Stefan, Damon, Elena and everyone else indebted (?) to her in a way and living the rest of their lives knowing she died for Elena, it would be a very Katherine-mind game to leave everyone contemplating for the rest of their lives.

Bonnie Bennett: I do not think Bonnie will die. She is the only witch in Mystic Falls, she had to learn to be a witch from her, now dead, grandmother which implies her parents do not have anything to do with witches. She also has a lot of personal challenges in her life right now. Does she protect herself and avoid the vampire battle? Or save Elena and put herself in danger? Does she work with people she hates? She also has a lot of growing as a witch to do, she is already a pretty good witch, many have said so, but many have also said that she is no Emily-yet. She is also one of the only chances Team Salvatore has at winning against Klaus.Also, if she dies that will be Jeremy’s third girlfriend-in a row- to die.

Matt Donovan: Matt’s answer is not a straight forward yes or no, I honestly am split. I will address the yes option first, Matt just found out about vampires, he is upset, frantic, and running around telling people Vicki was killed by them. He is confused and hurt and everyone he thought he could trust he has just found out he can’t. Not only does this make him the target for any vampires trying to keep vampires a secret, but it also puts him in harms way, he is not in the right frame of mind to be protecting himself from a danger he doesn’t know the full extent of. Now on to the no option, although he now knows about vampires and a lot of people have used this to show he will be killed off by the show, he is the first human- non witch, non vamp hater (other than Jeremy) to find out about vampires, and his reaction was interesting. He was upset and first thought went to Vicki-which shows he is a caring character, the question then arises- does he care enough about Caroline to look past it or at least keep her secret? Or does he betray her and tattle? This also leads to does Team Salvatore let him keep his memory or compel him to forget? Either one of these could turn deadly for him easily- ignorance to vampires mean you can’t protect yourself, but know about them makes you a target.

Tyler Lockwood: I think this characters survival partially depends on the survival/death of other characters eg. if Matt dies I think Tyler will survive and support Caroline and build on to their relationship, if Bonnie dies he would survive to build on to the friendship with Jeremy that has been touched upon earlier. Although he is the only werewolf in Mystic Falls, it has been made clear he is by no way means, the only werewolf around, so this cannot be used as a deciding factor that the show will keep him around, how easy would it be to write in an accidental death in the hands of another person in town who has no relation to anyone? (That is if they decide to keep the werewolf story-what necessary is there for them after the sacrifice?)

Alaric Saltzman: In my opinion this is another complicated character. Addressing the idea that he will die first, he is active in fighting vampires and the only thing protecting him is a ring, which he no longer has, assuming he gets it back-this may protect him against Damon etc, but will it work against Klaus and Elijah? We know that the originals are not the same as other vampires so could they be powerful enough to kill him even with his ring? Plus,he doesn’t have it right now. His knowledge on vampires, his reputation of killing them and his relationship with many of them (Damon, Stefan, Isobel) may combine to make him ripe for the killing. Now to address the idea of him not dieing, he is a figure in Jenna’s life who may possibly be able to help her through the ordeal of finding out about vampires, as a human, he is able to temporarily distance himself from the supernatural in the town to help Jenna (unlike Elena who is dating a vamp and Jeremy who is dating a witch), this distance could save his life by creating distance from the impending Salvatore vs Original battle.Another theory is that we see Jenna upset and crying in the promos because Alaric has died, since the promo isn’t just a single episode promo but the rest of the season promo this could make sense. Some people have suggested that some of Matt Davis’ tweets have implied he is going to die.

John Gilbert: I think he will die or leave the show again. My reasoning is pretty simple. None of the other Gilbert’s like him, so he will be the last one they try to protect. He hates the Salvatore’s, they hate him. I think John will try to be on the Originals side and try to make a deal to save Elena,but when it comes down to it, Team Salvatore won’t risk their lives to save him and the originals won’t think twice about killing him. If he doesn’t die I think he will leave town defeated.

Klaus and Elijah: I think Elijah will die (permentantly) in the hands of Klaus. In order to get the dagger to kill Klaus (a bigger threat) Team Salvatore will have to take it out of Elijah and he will come back to life. However what will he do when he is alive? I have no doubt Klaus will discover (if he doesn’t already know) his plan to back stab Klaus so he cannot count on Klaus for protection, but the Salvatore’s will have a plan to kill Klaus and can come up with a plan to kill Elijah too. I have no doubt that it would be a tough battle but I think Elijah will die by Klaus using him to fight Team Salvatore and then getting revenge for back stabbing him (we know they are good at holding onto revenge) . Klaus is a little more complicated, I think after a long fight he will die. Possibly by Katherine Killing him? (with what ever method Team Salvatore come up with though and herself dieing in the process). I think we don’t know enough about his character at the moment though to draw anything more about his possible death.

So, these are MY opinions on who will, or will not die by the end of the season/opening episode next season. THIS post got me thinking about it, the quote is from Katerina Graham.

я люблю Деймона.яркий персонаж,хочу чтоб у него наконец с Еленой получилось,пусть его хоть раз полюбят)
а Кэр я очень полюбила со 2 сезона,быть вампиром ей идет)) а особенно после эпизодов с Тайлером)

Мне ещё нравится Стефан и Кэр, они такие милые. Люблю, когда он ей помогает, но пара КэрТай...она наверное больше привлекает моё внимание))

Да, люблю их так и кстати сказали, что дружба между Стефаном и Кэр будет развиваться. Сценаристы затронули только маленький кусочек, но в скором времени они сблизятся сильнее)
