| Вчера открыв последнюю серию,дабы пересмотреть уморительный момент с Доротой я заметила одну деталь - когда дурында уезжает в ночь со своим ромео - на заднем фоне звучит музыкальная тема очень напоминающая саундтрек к сексу в большом городе
так вот - открываю сегодня тумблер:
Carrie and Big met each other in the Pilot episode. He was a rich businessman, “the next Donald Trump”, and drove around in a town car. He was almost always wore a suit, smoked cigars, and enjoyed a good glass of scotch.
When Blair and Chuck met, they were children, and they fell in love in high school. But when they dated in season 3, Chuck was 19 year-old billionaire, trying to turn over his first profit. Everybody knows that scotch is Chuck’s poison of choice, and he’s been riding around in a limo, all his life.
Sound familiar?
Both relationships were very intense, with nasty break-ups, and many issues. Chuck is emotionally unavailable, and Blair was always pushing him to tell her how he really feels. In Carrie and Big’s relationship, Carrie was always giving, and Big took it, without giving her what she wanted in return. He could never be truly honest with her. However, they were always connected, and even when they weren’t together, something still pulled them back.
PARALLELS
Love:
Big struggled to say “I love you”.
It took Chuck an entire year, to tell Blair he loved her.
Cheating:
Carrie had an affair with Big.
Blair betrayed Nate, with Chuck, more than once. She made out with him during a blackout, even though she was dating Marcus. She also slept with him on the night of her engagement party, and reconciled with him in 5x10, despite being pregnant with Louis’ baby.
Natasha/Eva:
After breaking-up with Carrie, Big gets engaged to Natasha, a 26 year-old, former model. Basically, Carrie’s opposite. Carrie was upset because Big had failed to commit to her, but was willing to marry Natasha.
After Chuck and Blair’s break-up in 3x22, Chuck met Eva, who helped him when he was shot. He really cared for her; she was definitely the light, to Blair’s dark. Blair didn’t like seeing him happy with someone else, and ran Eva out of town.
Paris:
Big flies to Paris, where he and Carrie reunite for the final time, after she fights with Aleksandr.
Blair and Chuck see each other for the first time, since their break-up, in a Parisian train station.
First Time:
Carrie and Big sleep together for the first time, in the back of his limo.
Blair loses her virginity to Chuck, in the back of his limo.
Significant Dresses:
The “Naked Dress” that Carrie wears to her first date with Big, is infamous.
Blair keeps the dress she wore on the night she went to Victrola, even though she hated it. In 3x19, she picks it up and cries, as she thinks about that night.
Longevity:
Despite breaking up and eventually becoming just friends, over the course of the entire series , Carrie and Big eventually found their way back to each other.
Chuck and Blair’s relationship has been a significant aspect of every season, so far. It wouldn’t be surprising if they finally got it together, by the end of season 6.
I can’t ignore the paralells. Carrie loved all of these men, but she always went running back to one man, in particular. I have no doubt that Blair will do the same.

| mio-mio, действительно интересно! а ведь параллели и до этого напрашивались уже только с тем, какое значение в обоих сериалах имеет сам город)
не то, чтобы Чак Басс нуждался в сравнении, но меня улыбнуло)

Blair Waldorf had Chuck Bass, New Yorks biggest play boy locked down. She was so amazing in bed that he couldn’t even get it up with other women after he had her. So no, Blair was not to blame for the bad sex. Maybe she didn’t wanna have a threesome with a rodent.
There is nothing sexy about Dan Humphrey while Blair couldn’t control herself in the slightest around Chuck. So much so that she schemed in every way possible to get him back in bed with her. While with Dan, she had to drink so much she didn’t realize that she was in a cab on her way to Williamsburg…with DAN.
Only thing that episode proved about Blair Waldorf was…
