Jim's Notebook: Gossip Girl interview with Sara Goodman
During my chat earlier this week with showrunner Sara Goodman, I asked if having the final season only consist of 10 episodes was a luxury in terms of storytelling… or quite the opposite because they have a lot to wrap up with our favorite Upper East Siders.
“I think it’s both, quite honestly,” she said. “It is a huge luxury because we know exactly how long we have and I think that we could build it the way that we wanted to build it, and it’s also sad for us because we love these people.”
As for familiar faces that may show up again? “There definitely will be surprises along the way of who’s going to come back and how and when and then we definitely try to pay homage and tried to make sure that we were getting the people we needed back. I can’t tell you who.”
How long will Georgina Sparks be around? Will it be Dair or Chair in the end? Will everyone be romantically paired up by the end? Goodman and I talked about all that and much more so keep an eye out for the rest of the interview coming Monday on TV Fanatic.

Leighton Meester Talks Gossip Girl's Finale, Making Music and Playing Hugh Laurie's Love Interest
Finally, I have to ask: anything you can divulge about Gossip Girl's final season, and the series finale in particular?
They're all going to die in a car accident! Haha, no—I think the audience will probably be very happy. We never know what's coming, and they've said that they want to surprise us. I assume there'll be some kind of happy ending. I've heard that there's going to be a gigantic cliffhanger with Chuck's dad, Blair and Chuck in the second-to-last episode that's resolved in the finale. But hopefully she finds love and resolution.

| 5 Things To Expect From The Season 6... →
Just in case you’re dying in anticipation of Gossip Girl’s sixth and final season, we have something for you to chew on. After watching the first two episodes, we’re already sucked back into the drama of our favorite Upper East Siders.
So here are 5 mini-teasers to hold you over until Monday night:
1. Both Dair and Chair fans should feel satisfied in the premiere as Blair shares sweet moments with both exes. Even as a Chuck and Blair fan, I couldn’t help but sigh over the Dair scene.
2. Dan goes off a bit on Serena and says something he’s probably been holding back for a long time. And sorry, S. We’re with Lovely Boy on this one.
3. Chuck and Blair are both single… for now. In fact, Blair has been trying to reach Dan all summer, but he won’t return her calls.
4. Someone gets slapped. Twice.
5. We witness the worst hookup in the history of the show (and there have been some pretty awful ones - remember Chuck and little Jenny Humphrey? Yuck). Grab the nearest object because you’re definitely gonna need to stab your eyes out after watching these two get it on between the sheets.

Okay, so I am not saying ANYTHING. ANYTHING. What I found out was too spoiler-y, if you want to call it. I’m shocked. Completely. This season may even beat season 1 and 2 or at least come close, and I’m surprising myself by saying this. Completely shocked. I’ve concluded that I’m watching all of season 6. ALL. This is intense.
