He’s Baaack! Serena's Former Flame Trip van der Bilt Returning to Gossip Girl Season 5
Trip van der Bilt is worming his way back into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite! Zap2it reports that Broadway star Aaron Tveit was spotted strolling with his on-screen cuz, Chace Crawford (Nate), for a not-yet-undetermined storyline to feature in Season 5 of Gossip Girl.
Tveit’s been busy since his last appearance on the streets of Manhattan as van der Bilt. His award-nominated turn in Catch Me If You Can on Broadway as Frank Abagnale Jr. ended in early September (when the show closed), and he appeared last week on Law & Order: SVU (a little worse for the wear, if you ask us!). Looks like there’s time in his schedule now for ALL KINDS of havoc-wreaking!
Last we checked in with Trip — was it really all the way back in Season 3? — he was running for office, happily married, and... makin’ crazy with everyone’s lives. Particularly Serena’s, which was quickly upended when she fell in and out of love with him, (eventually) refusing to play the mistress role that he and his wacky wife Maureen had scripted for her. He then made their car accident appear as if it were Serena’s fault and the whole mess came to a screeching halt. What a charmer! Lovestruck Nate ended up whopping him in the nose for that one, so just what do these two have to discuss? Perhaps it will include a strategic take-down of that soon-to-be crazy Diana Payne. Hmm..

Life After Leo: Blake Lively Spends Over $15,000 on Retail Therapy
Blake Lively was spotted for the first time since her split from Leonardo DiCaprio yesterday -- where she was spotted taking part in some serious retail therapy.
Just days after Blake and Leo's breakup became public knowledge, the "Gossip Girl" star was seen dropping a whole lotta dough at Edit boutique on the Upper East Side in NYC.
We're told she spent over $15,000 on two Proenza Schouler bags, Fendi booties, and a ton of pieces from designer Isabel Marant.
Though she looked less-than-thrilled outside the store, we hear she was "in a great mood" while shopping.
Maybe Blake needed some new clothes for a date, as she's already been linked to "Green Lantern" co-star Ryan Reynolds since the Leo split.

Is Eric Van Der Woodsen Gone From Gossip Girl For Good?
Get used to life on the Upper East Side without the more lovable — and sane (relatively speaking) — member of the van der Woodsen clan! In an interview with E! Online, Connor Paolo, the artist formerly known as our dear Eric, talks about his new role on Revenge as Declan Porter... and how we probably won’t be seeing Eric on the streets of Manhattan (or Brooklyn, for that matter!) anytime soon.
Paolo dished, “I’m a full-time character on a different series. It’s also shooting across the country, so it’s not much of a crossover. I also think there is some sort of clause about not being able to be on two conflicting networks at once because then there is fan wars.”

Tell Us: Who Will Blair Tell About Her Pregnancy Next?
Two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead. But we’re guessing Dan unfortunately won’t be going anywhere any time soon. And Blair keep her mouth shut? Yeah, right.
The Queen B can no longer deny that she’s officially in the family way, so who will be next to know about the growing bun in her oven? We don’t think there’s any way in hell that she’s going to scurry to her boring loving Prince Louis. We’re pretty sure that newsworthy tidbit will be delivered to the prince by his meddling enchanting sister, Beatrice.

Will she tell Chuck next? Considering the fact that she really can’t confirm the child isn’t his — we’re guessing she won’t want him to prematurely panic until she’s absolutely sure from whence the paternity is coming.
So, could it be Serena? Since they’re besties, that’s our best guess. After all, Serena is headed back to the Upper East Side. And Blair does need a confidante. You really think she’ll continue to stay so buddy-buddy with Dan? They’re called pregnancy hormones. Puh-lease.

Blake Lively's Curly, Strawberry Blonde Hair!
 
If there’s one person who likes to keep the press on their toes, it’s Blake Lively. Whether she's bagged a new hot man, a gorgeous new outfit or copper-coloured bouffant, the Gossip Girler often takes us by surprise. And her latest hair do, which she sported while out and about in New York, has once again caught us unawares. What can we call this style? ‘Curl Whirl’, perhaps? Yup, Blake's gone seriously curly-wurly with a strawberry blonde mane that's brilliant Eighties-esque.
We love that Miss Lively has let her, er, hair down a bit and moved away from that uber-groomed Serena van der Woodsen look she's become famous for. This is a much more fun and frivolous barnet, dontcha think? The colour suits her perfectly - in fact, we can’t think of another celeb that pulls of that tricky shade of blonde better (okay, so Ri-Ri might in at a very close second) and the style is funner and freer than ever before. If this is what breaking up with a Hollywood hunk will do to your beauty look, sign us up! One thing's for sure, we’ll be reaching for our crimping irons and curling tongs as soon as schools out, kids, so we too can work a retro fro for the weekend. It’s been a busy news week for Blake Lively (Serena)! Earlier this week reps for both Blake and former flame Leonardo DiCaprio confirmed their split after five months, and now new reports from Boston claim she’s moved on... with her Green Lantern co-star Ryan Reynolds!
Might we take a moment to commend your excellent taste, Miss Lively?
Reynolds is currently filming R.I.P.D in Boston and OK! Magazine reports the two were seen riding together from NYC to Beantown on Amtrak last Friday. They were spotted again — this time before 5 AM! —on Monday morning... PDA-in’ it up, says a source at HollywoodLife.
Hmmm... do you think Blake and Ryan are a hot new item? Or are they just drumming up publicity for next week’s DVD release of Green Lantern? (Just sayin’! It’s not terrible timing!) We probably won’t have to wait tooooo long to find out. In the meantime, what do you make of this possible new pairing?

What’s Diana’s Deal?
Another year, another scheming wench landing on the Upper East Side's fair shores to implement a mysterious scheme — part of which requires taking sexual advantage of Nate (Chace Crawford). So far all we know about Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) is that she's a media baron with designs on ruling the New York gossip world, which, according to producer Josh Safran, means "she needs to eliminate Gossip Girl."
So what is Diana's endgame? What's her plan for attacking Gossip Girl, who thus far has basically been an omniscient demigod? And why does it require sexing up Nate in public places? Hereby we present some theories.
1. She is Gossip Girl. We always muse about this whenever a new character appears on the scene, because we have a crazy dream that the show will remember that it's actually built around a huge mystery and finally reveal who Gossip Girl is. But with Diana, it actually makes sense: Who would launch a big public campaign against a terrifying blackmailer except someone with nothing to lose? Maybe the whole thing is an elaborate ruse! We love elaborate ruses.
2. She's turning Nate into Gossip Patient Zero. In order to take down Gossip Girl, she'll need to trace the way she gets her information. By having sex with Nate in public locations strategically placed around the city, she can learn who Gossip Girl's informants are and probe her weak spots. While Nate is, ahem, probing her weak spots. Luckily, Nate is too dumb and slutty to ask, "Hey, how come we have to have sex on the roof of the crosstown bus?"
3. She simply wants to have sex with Nate. So many girls-with-agendas have hit-and-quit poor Nate that, at this point, he can only get it up for a lady with a gleam in her eye that says, "You are just a pawn in my elaborate plan." Maybe she just thought he was cute, figured out his MO, and concocted an elaborate plan accordingly.

There’s a whole lot at stake on Gossip Girl these days — and tension has been mounting over the last two weeks like never before! While we all sitting in nail-biting anticipation until Monday’s episode to find out what.comes.next., let’s take a detailed look at the promo for “The Jewel of Denial.”
Scene #1
B welcomes S back to the east coast and then sits for an interview with... a stodgy minion of the royal family? Who knows! Maybe it’s just another of B’s countless interviews she’s been busy doing in preparation for the throne, but one thing’s for sure: This lady seems very interested in just how fast B’s biological clock might be ticking. Might Beatrice have something to do with this?
Scene #2
Crazy Charlie/Ivy/fake-cousin welcomes herself back to Manhattan, too! Who you callin’ a “freak,” girl? OH! Yourself? Yes, in that case, we all agree. S soothes her ego by saying, “Are you kidding? This place is a mecca for freaks!” Oh, S, we think you might disagree once Charlie goes Juliet on you...
Scene #3
What’s that Dan and Chuck are peering down at? Looks like a baby! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, that’s probably just a little foreshadowing.
Scene #4
Blink and you’ll miss it, but it looks as if Diana and Nate are at it again (still at it?). The presumptuous grin on her face, the stern look on his (along with the tie-straightening)! Oh, Master Archibald! Do you not see what we see?
Scene #5
Things are getting good, now! Let’s face it, Blair’s storylines are always the best. First, the long-awaited envelope appears in Blair’s hand!
Scene #6
Then Dan holds it up to her, saying, “Don’t you want to KNOW who the father of your child is?” By which he means, assuredly, “I know there’s been no on-camera evidence of us sleeping together but everyone is dying to know... COULD IT BE ME?”
Scene #7
AND THEN... Blair rips into the thing! Notice her clothes haven’t changed once yet, so this all just one very eventful day in the life of this Upper East Sider. We don’t envy her!
Scene #8
Now she’s throwing Dan across the room (and has changed clothes!) and it’s probably not because he’s the father of the baby, right? Secrets don’t make friends, we’re told, and though Dan’s never shown too much evidence of being a cad, perhaps he’s let the secret out of the bag! Say it ain’t so! Humphreys are best left unscathed in this wacky world.

A moment of truth between Blair and Louis in which she pines for Chuck and/or Dan? A moment of truth between Blair and Louis in which she tells him she’s pregnant with the royal spawn? In which Louis asks her why she surrounds herself with crazy people all the time? Louis’ in love with Charlie and taking her far, far away? Okay, sorry, that probably won’t happen... but we wouldn’t mind!
Scene #10, #11, #12, #13... through #15?
A smug glance on the street between Blair and Lonely Boy. A distressed glance between S and B. Nate’s in there somewhere but what could he possibly have to do with anything important? He’s probably just walking over to Diana, that tease! THIS IS ALL HAPPENING SO QUICKLY! And what of that hug on the bed between Blair and Louis? Is it a “parting is such sweet sorrow” or a “yayyy, baby time!” kind of hug?

And then the voice-over and the flashes of NOT THREE, but twoooo images — Chuck and Louis. What if it’s Dan’s baby and she needs to let them BOTH down? How would Chuck and Dan’s friendship survive that, though? And we’ve already heard of an upcoming potential custody battle for Baby Waldorf. Will our first scene between Chuck and Blair this season be them bemoaning her future with Louis? Or will she happily accept her fate? (Nevermind, nobody on this show ever does that).

Gossip Girl Season 5 Spoilers! Baby News and Relationships on the Rocks
Excitement is stirring over our favorite Gossip Girl love triangle (or is it officially a square now?), as EW reports that things are coming to a head soon between Blair (Leighton Meester) and her bevy of would-be beaus!
The news of Blair’s pregnancy is said to spread to three very important folks in Monday’s episode, “The Jewel of Denial.” Who might they be? We asked for your best guess, but we’re banking on it being B’s sometime-BFF Serena (Blake Lively). Blair needs a partner in crime on this, and it wouldn’t hurt for them to be of the female persuasion (though Lonely Boy (Dan) has proven to be more of support in a few short months than S has ever been in 5 seasons).
So where’s Chuck (Ed Westwick) in all of this? Now that he’s dealing with his PTSD-esque issue caused by losing his one and only love, he will (finally) soon come face-to-face with Blair (but his encounter with her fiancee is the one we should be looking out for, apparently).
This we have to see! Speaking of Chuck, his friendship could be on the rocks after someone suffers some bruised feelings. Chuck and Dan, though? A-ok. What does it all mean!? Will Chuck and Dan unite to get rid of Louis and his gaggle of crazy lady-relatives...then duke it out for Blair’s heart?

'Gossip Girl' mama drama: Is Blair having Chuck's baby?
The fact that Blair's tiny baby bump hasn't yet hit the blogosphere on "Gossip Girl" is a minor miracle, but the real social media networks are already abuzz with speculation about who the father of her fetus is. (Just search the hashtag "#babybass" on Twitter and you'll see what we mean.)
The identity of B's baby daddy won't be a mystery for long, though Blair (Leighton Meester) does her best to remain blissfully unaware in Monday's episode, despite Dan's (Penn Badgley) efforts otherwise.
As of now, however, the question remains: Is Chuck (Ed Westwick) the father of the baby, or is the child the potential heir to Prince Louis' (Hugo Becker) throne? Weigh in below in our poll and let us know who you think -- or who you hope -- the father of the baby is... and whether you think Blair will go through with her wedding once the father is revealed.
We're including a "somebody else" category just in case, but after Dan's rather non-panicked reaction last week, we're guessing that the first "Dair" kiss last season didn't quite progress to baby-making.

‘Gossip Girl’ Recap: Blair Reveals The Father Of Her Baby, Plus 4 More ‘OMG’ Moments!
We FINALLY found out the father of Blair’s baby on the Oct. 10episode of ‘Gossip Girl’ — and I’m SO disappointed!
Last week, Blair (Leighton Meester) told three people about her big baby secret — including Dan Humphry (Penn Badgley). We were SURE one of them was going to spill her secret, wreaking havoc on the Upper East Side. But this time, Gossip Girl has taken a turn for the worse. Blair mustered up the courage to take a paternity test on her own to find out if either Chuck (Ed Westwick) or Prince Louis (Hugo Becker) was the father. Drum roll please …
As of now, nothing is standing in the way of Blair’s dream of becoming royalty. The father of the child she is bearing is PRINCE LOUIS (Hugo Becker!)
Now, we know we can’t believe everything Gossip Girl tells us. We DID go an entire season believing Ivy (Kaylee Defer) was Serena’s (Blake Lively) cousin, Charlie, after all. Oh, and remember when Dan and Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) had baby Milo? So there’s still hope Chair fans!
Louis seems pretty excited to be the father, so we’re just going to have to roll with it for now. But let’s not forget that we haven’t actually seen the paternity test results yet — so Blair COULD be lying!
More ‘OMG’ Moments:
#1 Blair tells Chuck she’s pregnant:
The first person Blair revealed the father of her baby to was Chuck, to which Chuck cried and cuddled with his new dog friend; it was heartbreaking! And finally, Blair admitted: “There was a part of me that really wanted it to be yours.” (So did we!!!)
#2 Lily is free:
Serena’s mom Lily (Kelly Rutherford) is finally back in the picture — and she’s no longer on house arrest! The fancy Upper East Sider can finally get back in the groove of things.
#3 Ivy decides to stay in NYC:
And let me be the first to say, I’m happy she is! After putting Lily’s sister — who hired her to be her fake daughter to get her real daughter’s trust fund — in her place, Ivy decided she’s going to stay and live out this wild fantasy as Charlie. More power to her! I just hope Nate (Chace Crawford) doesn’t find out who she really is…
#4 Dan’s book gets published:
Dan’s secret novel about the musings of the Upper East Side is finally going public. It definitely looks like it’s going to cause major drama after watching next week’s preview! We can’t wait to see what comes of it!

GOSSIP GIRL “The Jewel of Denial” Season 5 Episode 3 – Well, color me shocked! In “The Jewel of Denial,” only the third episode of this season of
We’ll get to that eventually. Like Blair, I’m a procrastinator.
There was a fashion show this week which meant a lot of pretty dresses (Blair’s especially). Serena’s mom got released from to stay in New York and even to move into Casa de van der Woodsen. But she also had her phone taken by Nate and Diana; her secrets are on the brink of full disclosure.
Dan finally decided to stop being a wuss and claimed authorship of his book when his mentor threatened to publish it under his own name. Nate went further down the rabbit-hole by at first unwittingly and then knowingly creating scandal for Diana’s newspaper. While I commend him for leaving his friends’ phones alone, it says something that he was more than willing to dig up dirt on everyone else in Manhattan.
And then there’s Chuck. Oh, Chuck. Not even a sweet puppy dog could kick-start his feelings. No, it took a much bigger emotional blow to crack through his psychosis.
In a twist of fate (or a mistake on the part of the writers) Chuck is not the father of Blair’s baby, a fact which she felt compelled to tell him as soon as she was able to look at the results of her test.
All right, so was I the only one who had to Google “how early can paternity be established?” to figure out if it was even possible for Blair to get those results before she even shows a bump? As it turns out, there are two methods that are feasible this early into pregnancy, but they’re both dangerous and insanely expensive. I guess both the money and the risk were worth it.
At least we have an answer. Blair and Louis are going to be royal parents. And while we’re on the subject of royalty, why isn’t Blair being stalked by paparazzi? She’s marrying a prince, but she was out on the streets, discussing her paternity test with Dan, and not a single photographer snapped a picture of her or tried to invade her privacy? I feel that somewhere in England, the Duchess of Cornwall is calling bull on that.
By the way, Blair, I would burn that letter from your OB/GYN. Have you learned nothing after five years? It will come back to haunt you.
I have a request, Gossip Girl, and it calls for many more scenes with Blair and Chuck. There’s something about them being together on screen. Everything seems more interesting. Don’t let the best pairing on your show die off. ‘Cause it seems like you might not find something better to replace it.
