Come chuck Bass ha uno stile Dandy, come testimonial di Philipp Plein è decisamente più rock, ma nella realtà? Qual è lo stile di Ed Westwick? «Diciamo una via di mezzo, mi piace spesso cambiare e ogni tanto mi concedo una punta di eccentricità credo che il mio stile sia influenzato anche dalle cose che mi circondano, dalla musica che ascolto, mi sento molto rock in questo periodo. Ho fatto altri lavori legati al mondo della moda, ma questa è la prima volta una collaborazione riflette in pieno il mio stile. Diciamo che ha dato al mio un look una svolta ancor più grintosa.»
Un consiglio fashion? «Provare, per non essere banali a volte serve un pizzico di coraggio e se un giorno esci con un abbinamento sbagliato, che sarà mai…»
Cosa non manca mai nel suo armadio? «Una bella giacca di pelle, credo che ogni uomo dovrebbe averne una.»
È la prima volta in passerella… «Esattamente, spero proprio di non cadere.»
Sì è allenato? «Per mesi! Sto scherzando, in realtà è venuto tutto molto naturalmente, lavorando con un gran designer e con dei grandi fotografi ogni pezzo è del puzzle è andato al suo posto, così come durante lo shooting, è stata un’esperienza pazzesca, scattare a New York con Therry Richardson, è stato unico.»
So che è un tifoso sfegatato… «Del Chelsea, è esatto, e dell’Inghilterra ovviamente, attendo con ansia il match di domenica.»
In campo ci sarà anche Rooney, fresco di trapianto di capelli, lei cosa ne pensa, lo farebbe? «Perché no! Vuoi capelli, riprenditi i capelli. Per adesso ne ho in abbondanza e spero che restino lì dove sono, ma se dovessero cadere, chissà, perché no, appunto.»
Domenica l’Inghilterra affronterà l’Italia nei quarti di finale degli europei, guarderà la partita a Milano? «No, sarò già volato a Londra. La mia parentesi milanese, che peraltro ho adorato, finisce qui. Che vinca il migliore!»

Chuck Bass is a dandy, as a Philipp Plein testimonial your style is more rock, but in reality? How is Ed Westwick’s style? «Let’s say something in between, I like to change a lot and every once in a while I try to exaggerate. I believe my style is influenced by the things that surround me, the music I listen to, I feel more rock in this period. I’ve also had other jobs in regards of fashion, but this is the first time a collaboration reflects my style completely. It gave my look an energetic spin.»
A fashion advice? «Try new things, never be ordinary and be brave and if someday you go out with the wrong outfit, nevermind…»
What is never missing in your closet? «A beautiful leather jacket, I think every man should have one.»
It’s your first time on the runway… «Exactly, I really hope I won’t fall.»
Did you train? «For months! I’m kidding, it all came really natural, working with a great designer and with great photographers, every piece of the puzzle went on its place, like during the shooting, it was a crazy experience working in New York with Terry Rihcardson, it was unique.»
I know you are a very dedicated fan… «Of Chelsea, it’s true, and of England of course. I’m impatiently waiting for Sunday’s match.»
