First, an explanation. This post (which provides further evidence, if any were necessary, that the cosmic convergence of The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl has finally driven me crazy) was born for three reasons:

* Enraged confusion at the way Chuck stans keep comparing Chuck/Blair to Beauty and the Beast. WTF?!! That makes the kind of sense that doesn't.

* In the same vein, rage at the way I've seen Chuck's behavior to Blair (and to a lesser extent, Matt's to Caroline) excused, absolved, and otherwise explained away. WTF, if the genders were reversed in this situation the girls would be so vilifed they'd already have been killed off.

* On a more positive note, my deep and abiding love for Caroline/Tyler and Dan/Blair. ♥ ♥ ♥
