Gossip Girl: Who Is Blair's "Soul Mate?" Penn Badgley Weighs In! Plus, Scoop from the Cast
Nobody gives good love triangle like Gossip Girl. It's one of the biggest reasons the show has made it to a whopping 100 episodes, which the cast celebrated this weekend in (where else?) NYC. And E! News was on hand to dish with Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Leighton Meester, Blake Lively and the rest of the cast.
So do the show's über-popular duo Chuck and Blair still stand a chance? What about Dan and Blair? And which guy is Blair's "soul mate?" Penn's answer may surprise you...
"I think they will always have feelings for each other in a certain capacity," Penn says of Dan and Blair. "I can't really say where it is going to go, nor do I know even because they have had plans for them since the beginning, only in the sense that they are a certain intellectual match for one another and I think Dan is unfortunate in that he loves Blair and I think Blair is his soul mate but he is not Blair's soul mate, because Blair and Chuck belong with each other obviously. I think that the fans all love Chuck and Blair together, but you know, maybe you're wrong."
So is Badgley bummed that Dan's not Blair's soul mate? "Well, that is my personal opinion, but my opinions are biased." Still, he says, "They are an intellectual match for one another and even though it's not physical, it's this completely heady thing, which I think is fun because it's a show with heady campy dialogue. I think they fit together well in that sense that they don't fit together and all they do is bicker. I think that's fun for people to watch."
While Meester and Westwick were tight-lipped about the love triangle and what's ahead for the show's most popular couple, Chuck and Blair, Westwick says Chuck is still "very much" in love with Blair.
Though Westwick tells us he has "no idea" what the future holds for "Chair," he, like many fans, personally hopes they find their way back to each other. "Yeah, I like kissing Leighton," he says. "She's so great. Leighton is gorgeous. I like working with her. She's very talented and she's fantastic to work with. Sure, why not?"
As for Nate's love life on the show, Chace Crawford revealed a possible spoiler when he told us," Hey, I love Ivy/Charlie and I love Kaylee DeFer, but where's Elizabeth Hurley? Bring her back! It's been great!" Hmmm...So where does Ms. Diana Payne head off to? The mind reels...
Any true Gossip Girl fan savors moments when the original five, Blake Lively, Badgley, Meester, Westwick and Crawford, all get to be in scenes together as it doesn't happen too often, so we were thrilled when Lively dropped this nugget of info: "We just shot a scene yesterday with the original five of us and it was amazing to all be together and still feel like the same weirdos!"

Kaylee DeFer (Ivy/Charlie) tells us: "I think Max desperately wants to expose Ivy. Whether or not he's successful, I don't know if he has the chops. But I think she's interested in Van Der Woodsens. She doesn't care much about Nate or Max. I think she is just more so all about the family then anything else at the point." When asked if she thinks Nate and Ivy would make a good couple, Kaylee tells us: "I think so. I think that she is kind of a hopeless romantic and he is in his sense as well. I think they'd be a great couple, plus I really would like to work with Chace. I love working with Chace, so I think that would be awesome."

'Gossip Girl': 10 Things to Know About the 100th Episode & More
Spotted: Manhattan's favorite Upper East Siders (and Brooklynites) celebrating the 100th episode of 'Gossip Girl' at Cipriani on Wall Street in New York. As always, it was a fashionable affair for the cast -- Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chase Crawford and Ed Westwick were all on hand -- but the real guest of honor, according to executive producer Josh Schwartz? The celebratory cake!
"We've talked about the cake for a long, long time," Schwartz told AOL TV. "'The OC' went to 93 or 92 episodes, so we were close but no cake. It's really a testament to Stephanie [Savage] and her leadership, guiding the show to 100 episodes. We birthed it, but Stephanie's really raised this child. I just send an alimony check."
But it wasn't all cake talk. The cast also teased the highly anticipated 100th episode, and all we can say is OMG! Orgies, dance sequences, a royal wedding and a potential runaway bride? This is one episode you can't miss. And from what we hear, the first 10 minutes see the entire cast doing something they've never done before.
What can it be? Let the gossip commence ...
1. You don't want to miss the first 10 minutes
"We just filmed the scene the other day," said executive producer Josh Safran. "It's crazy. I wrote it, and it's something I've wanted to do since Season 1. I'm very proud of that moment, and when you see it, you'll know why. It's something we've never done before. From Season 1, I said, 'I want to do this.' But it just wasn't the right time. I've been pushing it for five years, and it finally happened. I can't tell you what it is, but it's the best thing we've ever done. Everyone was so excited, and showed up to play in such a major way. They made it even more than my dreams."
2. There will be a surprising dancing sequence!
"We shot a big dance sequence the other day," Blake Lively teased. "And we were all dressed up as different people other than ourselves."
3. And an even more surprising twist ...
"It's going to be an orgy," teased executive producer Josh Schwartz. "It's all one big orgy, really."
4. Blair is having a royal wedding
"Blair's always wanted to be a princess," said executive producer Stephanie Savage. "It was definitely fortuitous that we had the British royal wedding and also Price Albert in Monaco get married this summer, so we had a lot of royal inspiration. But it's also something that the crew will tell you, they've been planning for a while. Since Season 1, the crew has been planning Blair's wedding, so they're very happy to be able to do this episode."
5. Blair's wedding dress is Vera Wang, not Eleanor Waldorf Designs
"Eleanor is a really absentee parent, so when she can have an influence over her daughter, she does," said Margaret Colin, who plays Blair's mother Eleanor. "I'm really surprised that Eleanor didn't get to design the wedding dress. I was shocked. It was Vera! Who's Vera?"
6. Director Mark Piznarski also directed the pilot episode
"There are few subtle things to look for in this 100th episode that may give homage to the pilot," director Mark Piznarski told AOL TV. "[The cast] have gotten so much more confident as time has gone by. Some of them hadn't done much work before 'Gossip Girl.' Certainly, Blake [Lively] had done a few projects, as had Leighton [Meester], but Ed [Westwick] and Chase [Crawford] were relatively new. They were those characters instantly, and they've just gotten better and better. I still refer to them as my kids. They've grown tremendously."
7. Georgina is crashing Blair's royal wedding, Princess Beatrice style!
"I think Georgina is trying to one-up everybody," admitted Michelle Trachtenberg, who's set to make her anticipated return during the episode. "The fascinator that she's wearing at the top of her head is definitely attention-getting -- and hard to wear. I couldn't bend down without tickling someone's nose."
8. Blair may -- or may not be -- a runaway bride
"She does run away," admitted Margaret Colin. "She runs a lot. She runs upstairs, downstairs, she gets in a cab ... She's busy." Colin also admitted that Blair will be making that walk down the aisle "a couple of times." Looks like Blair's going to be having a few wedding nightmares.
9. Clothing is optional?
"The show has always been fashionably iconic because clothing is optional," teased star Matthew Settle (a.k.a. Rufus Humphrey) about the 100th episode. "But if they're wearing clothing, it's always stylish."
10. Are Blair and Dan really soulmates? Leighton Meester says yes!
"Selfishly, I love working with Ed [Westwick], I love working with Penn [Badgley], and I love working with Hugo [Becker]," said Leighton Meester. "I think that the best thing about it is that you don't know. I think it's fun to guess, and it's fun to see how all of the different story lines play out because she's dating and engaged to a Prince. I mean, what could be better than that? But then you realize that the fairytale isn't 100 percent perfect. It's not real. Her and Chuck have had ups and downs, and I think that as much as everyone loves them together, having them have time apart has actually helped Blair grow, and it's weirdly helped me grow too. The one relationship that I would love to see play out is Blair and Dan ... So, we'll see."
So will Blair make it down the aisle? The 100th episode of 'Gossip Girl' airs Mon., Jan. 30 at 8PM on the CW.

One of our favorite reveals of the night on Gossip Girl Season 5, Episode 8: "All The Pretty Sources"? Dan (Penn Badgley) is in love with Blair (Leighton Meester)!
Like, really in love.
We knew he was probably harboring a little crush. But we didn’t know it was this bad. (You know: Can’t-eat/can’t-sleep/crash-a-bridal-shower-totally-wasted.) Dan has got it bad — but does he even have a chance with B?
Dan is sweet. He’s smart, charming, and totally lovable in that super-cute geek sort of way. He and Blair share an undeniable chemistry — and their verbal sparring matches really can’t be beat.
The only problem? He’s just not Chuck (Ed Westwick).
That’s right. For every die-hard Dair fan out there, you have an equally enthusiastic Chair fan (or seven!) waiting to put them in their place. And with all the Chuck-Blair love out there, do Dan-Blair shippers even have a chance?
So, what do you think: Even if Dan did admit his feelings for Blair … and she left Louis … and she was ready for another relationship — would she ever choose Dan over Chuck? The new and reformed Bass seems pretty hard to beat!

| Я уж думала,что меня уже ни одно промо не порадует и я не буду с нетерпением ждать серию)
Но новые промо к восьмой серии просто мечта)) Скорее бы посмотреть

Мне показалось или в начале промо Блер опять пришла Чака на чистую воду выводить,будет проверять не показалось ли ей. Серьезно?после того как она видела как он укрывает Хамфри пледом?!
Мне новый психолог Чака понравился такой прям доктор не то что та собачница

| Думается мне, что события будут развиваться так.
Вплоть серии до 11-12 Блэр и Чак сблизятся, на столько, что Блэр решит рассказать Чаку правду о ребёнке, признается ему, что отец то он. Тут Чак, его конечно понять можно, чо-нить да натворит... или скажет... короче сильно обидеться и отвергнит Блэрку. Далее, Блэр понимает, что деваться ей больше некуда и возвращается к прынцу. Тут и день свадьбы наступает... Но Чак то поменялся, быстренько отошёл, простил Блэрку и идёт он значит на свадьбу... А в это время то Блэр понимает, что уж лучше быть одной, чем с прынцем Луи и сбегает со свадьбы и в этом ей помогает никто иной, как Дэн (не зря же он говорил и своей удивительной роли на свадьбе). Ну значит Чак приходит в церковь, но никого не застаёт и думает, что он опоздал. Чак идёт в ближайший быр и напивается. Но, Дэн, как настоящий друг Чака и Блэр, звонит пьяному Чаку и говорит, что она находится у него в Бруклине и говорит, что она не вышла за Луи. Тут Чак значит срывается в Бруклин, попадает в аварию (а иначе для чего был кастинг на врачей?) Потом значит Чак выздоравливает, Блэр рожает, они мирятся, сходятся, женятся. Ну а под конец снова расходятся по какой-нить глупой причине и тут голос сплетницы: "Увидимся в 6 сезоне".
Вот такое мыло получается
