Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) is one very, very lucky Gossip guy.
You see, Nate will be getting some action in the season opener of Gossip Girl. And it's not just any random hookup—he landed the coveted role of Elizabeth Hurley's first conquest.
So what does Hurley have to say about her character's, um, relationship with Nate?
"Sparks fly between them for sure," Hurley teases. "We become more and more embroiled with each other in various ways as the shows progress."
Executive producer Josh Safran recently chatted with members of the press all about the upcoming season, including Hurley's character, Diana Payne, whom he compares to Heather Locklear's infamous Amanda Wooward from Melrose Place. Like Gossip Girl newbies of seasons past, Diana does have an agenda, but she won't be keeping it a secret.
"When she says something, even though she may move the chess pieces around to get what she wants, she says up top, 'This is what I want'," Safran says. "So if people don't comply, she'll move them to get what she wants."
For Safran & Co., Hurley was the only person to play Diana. "She was our wish list," he enthuses. "It sounds terrible, but when we saw that Wonder Woman wasn't going forward, I was like 'Oh!' Which is horrible because you want to be very happy for other people's successes, but we just wanted her too badly."
The feeling is mutual according to Hurley, a devoted Gossip Girl fan herself: "I have an exceptionally exciting part to play," the British babe purrs, "and have a lot of fun doing it."

Gossip Girl Executive Producer Joshua Safran eagerly answered fan questions yesterday at The CW network about the season premiere Monday, Sept. 26 at 8/7c:
What is the deal with Dan and Blair?
We’ve always been nervous about their relationships perception. We’ve always known there is a specific course, yet it may take on some new meaning this season.
Can you tease the 100th episode at all?
It is going to be a blast. All I can say is that we’ve been watching the pilot a lot.
Will the majority of the season be bi-coastal?
Not for long. The crew will fully return to New York soon.
What is Elizabeth Hurley’s agenda?
Can’t reveal what it is specifically, but I can say she is very honest about it. She will play games but be very upfront, and it will carry back to New York!
What’s up with Rufus and Lily this season?
We don’t want to mess with that couple very much. They have worked very hard to stay together and we want them to be grounded. They will float in and out of other story lines.
What’s in store for the infamous Chuck Bass?
Chuck’s theme this season is growing up. His journey opens the door to a new way of life that we haven’t seen before.
Will we see a lot of Nate this season?
Nate has a huge great story! Like Chuck, it relates to finding out who he really is and taking control of his life.

| So the sneak peak was Nate, Serena and Chuck in LA
Serena and Nate are talking. She's asking him how they got here and who's boat they are on right then. He says Chuck won it in a poker game and that he apparently also won a leg or two but that's another story.
Serena asks about how Chuck's doing and Nate tells her to ask him herself. Chuck enters, gives Serena a hug and a kiss and then.......
Serena finds it weird that Chuck's so happy, she says that he usually looks like a mad (?) cheshire cat when he smiles like that. Chuck says that it's a word that's making him so happy. Serena says it must something pervy. Chuck say's that it's actually YES and then goes on to say that Serena must have wanted something more from the movie job than serving coffee, sorting mail and all that. Serena says that she was happy when the producer Jane asked her opinion about a scene but Ethan Peck's character, who's her supervisor, got mad or something. Chuck tells Serena that she has got to say the YES she's never said before (lolwut). Serena says he's right even though he sounds delusional and asks who's with her while she goes to meet the producer and interrupts Chuck before he say anything with a 'I know what you're going to say' and the scene ends.

Это Bridal shower. Такой специальный прием перед свадьбой, на котором принято дарить подарки будущей невесте. Проводит кто-то из близких подруг. На приеме присутствую будущие гости свадьбы. Устраивают как правило в Америке.
Так что про платье - ходят слухи это платье для беременной

Gossip Girl Preview: Dan's Blair Crush, Nate's Control Issues and Chuck's Dangerous Detour
When Gossip Girl opens its fifth season Monday, our favorite Upper East Siders will be all over the map — literally and figuratively. Serena’s working hard in Hollywood, while a broken-hearted Chuck is channeling his inner daredevil. Back in New York, Dan’s Hamptons reverie is interrupted by the publication of a certain book, while Blair is busy planning her royal wedding. Oh, and yes, someone is definitely preggers.
TVLine got a sneak peek at the Season 5 premiere earlier this week and then pumped executive producer Josh Safran for insight into the action-packed opener and what lies ahead.
OF BOOKS AND BLAIR | Dan and Blair haven’t been in touch over the summer, but that doesn’t mean what happened last season has been forgotten. A meaningful scene between the two in the loft makes it perfectly clear that “he definitely has feelings for Blair,” notes Safran. “I don’t know if it’s really romantic with Dan and Blair… The triangle, in our minds, is Chuck, Louie and Blair.” That’s not to say Dan doesn’t figure into things. “Dan’s role in it is surprising,” continues Safran. “He will both add to the Chair shippers and detract for the Chair shippers, alternately.” While his “pining is an undercurrent,” the big storyline for Dan will be the release of his book, a Blair-centric chapter of which is set to be published in Vanity Fair in the premiere. “Everyone does have a reaction, and it’s not necessarily the reaction that Dan expects them to have,” teases Safran. “But it’s also not the reaction that they expect to have.” Could one relationship suffer in the aftermath of the book’s release? After all, according to the EP, Dan and Nate’s “friendship is going to have some complications thrown into it very soon.”
THE RETURN OF GOSSIP GIRL | The show’s titular blogger is front and center in the new season. “Gossip Girl is very much a regular this year, almost as much as she was in Season 1,” says Safran, who wouldn’t say if the character’s increased role will lead to her unmasking. One thing is certain: She will face some stiff new competition. “Maybe there’s someone else who’s going to use technology in a way that will threaten her,” teases Safran. Hmm, sounds like some Payne is in store — Diana Payne (a.k.a. the sharp businesswoman played by Elizabeth Hurley.) Speaking of which…
MASTER PLAN | Hurley’s character will quickly set her sights on Nate and weave him – and by extension, everyone else – into her nefarious plan. But unlike the mysterious Juliet, Diana’s agenda is clear. “She’s very honest about it,” explains Safran. “Even though she may move the chess pieces around to get what she wants, she says up-top, ‘This is what I want.’ So if people don’t comply, she’ll just move them and get what she wants.”
JUST SAY YES | Chuck’s new thrill-seeker lifestyle will actually open “the door to a new avenue for him,” teases Safran. So what can we expect from the man who’s seen everything and done everyone? “It is the only possible next step in the evolution of Chuck,” is all Safran would reveal.
JUST FRIENDS | Sorry, Nate and Serena shippers, but the exes will remain “very good friends” in the near term. “We don’t have plans to revisit that [relationship] right now,” says Safran. Instead, the two will have plenty going on in their lives outside of romance. Serena finds a mentor in a female producer (guest star Michael Michele) and starts “taking stock of what her skills are and how to use them.” Nate, meanwhile, realizes he’s lost and doesn’t know who he is. “He’s got almost the biggest story of the bunch,” reveals Safran. “His journey really relates the most to growing up and taking control of his life.”
THE BIG 100 | Safran offers this vague but tantalizing hint about the show’s “awesome” 100th episode later this season: “We’ve been watching the pilot a lot.”
