There is nothing redeemable about Chuck Bass.

If you ship Chair, you are shipping an abusive relationship. After this episode, you cannot argue that Chuck is the right person for Blair. He humiliates her and puts her down in front of everyone. He claims to own her as if she is an object rather than a person. He physically hurts her. I’m not even talking about the glass in the face. Grabbing her and man-handling her is bad enough.

Being drunk is not an excuse. Being drunk in and of itself is a serious problem. Chuck was the one who chose to drink all day knowing that he could get violent or aggressive when he’s inebriated.

You say that it is Blair’s fault for going to see Chuck while he is drunk. She was merely trying to be responsible and mature by letting him know personally about her and Louis. He was the one who assaulted her and became violent.

I have no sympathy for a drunk who chooses to spend all of his time wallowing in misery. This is not the first time he’s been abusive or had a ‘freak episode.’ If you might recall, he sold his girlfriend for a hotel. Not to mention the fact that he slept with another girl the moment he thought Blair didn’t love him. I know plenty of people who have had problems with their parents and didn’t end up like Chuck. You can’t blame it all on his prior issues. He could be proactive and go get help, but instead he decides to ruin his and everyone else’s lives.

It is not right nor will it ever be right to stay in abusive relationship just because you feel you are ‘destined’ to be with someone. Blair is doing the right thing by leaving him. Chuck is dangerous and unstable.

Argue with me if you want. Try to make a point. But I can guarantee you that I will have evidence and be able to match your rebuttal with stronger support against everything Chuck chooses to be and against Chuck and Blair being together.

This is such a horrible message to showcase to viewers, especially young female viewers. Being drunk and hurt is not an excuse to physically hurt someone or consider that person to be his possession. Chuck forced himself upon Blair with those awkward kisses on her neck, then said “You’re mine” when she told him she was proposed to by someone else, used force to hold her, and then in a fit threw his hand through glass which cut her cheek. I thought selling her for a hotel in exchange was low but things just got worse.

A PSA should have been filmed and aired. If Blair takes him back after this and she probably will, a disgusting message will be shown to viewers.
