| I don’t care if you ship Chuck/Blair or Dan/Blair or Louis/Blair or whoever you want, you can not try and justify Chuck’s actions. I’m not ~bashing him or saying he should “just go die” or anything like that, but I’m sorry, him being drunk, or Blair “deserving it”, are you fucking me, no. What Chuck did is more wrong than anything else he’s ever done to Blair before and regardless of who you ship or if you “feel bad” for Chuck or can understand his perspective, that is so beyond wrong. Don’t sit there and go on about how “oooh it’s so dark and unhealthy” and romanticize it, there is no way for that sort of behavior to ever be considered right or romantic and you should not be glorifying it. Ever. I don’t care if it’s “just a tv show”, you just can’t. Ship Chuck/Blair all you want, this isn’t a post declaring that they’re over forever or that they should never be together, and this isn’t an anti-Chuck/Blair post. I just think everyone needs to realize that there is never any excuse to justify that sort of behavior. It’s wrong and there’s nothing about it that should be glorified, end of discussion.

There is no excuse for that kind of rage and abuse. Just none. Chuck crossed the line; why can’t people just admit that? Saying that “oh, he’s such a poor boy/he just needs help” doesn’t excuse shit. No duh the bastard needs help—going on a bender every fucking day isn’t the solution to his numerous problems. If Chuck was actually seeking help, I might feel more sympathy, but as far as I’m concerned, with every action, he just digs himself into a deeper hole. Some people are actually blaming Blair for Chuck's attempted rape and physical abuse. PEOPLE LIKE THIS IS WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE FUCKING WORLD. I can’t even begin to understand why someone would blame Blair for Chuck trying to force himself on her… Especially with everything that’s going on with women’s rights in the real world right now.
