Blake Lively Gets to Work With Her Gossip Girl Gang Following Her Stay in Sydney
Blake Lively left her trailer on the Gossip Girl set in NYC today. She was back to work on the East Coast following a quick trip to Australia to visit boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio, who has been Down Under filming The Great Gatsby. Blake and Leo reportedly visited a wildlife park and dined out in Sydney, as the couple celebrated Blake's 24th birthday. It's been a whirlwind few weeks for the duo since they were also spotted hanging in LA earlier this month. Blake may have left Leo back in Australia but she had plenty of company from costars Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford during her day on set. Leighton's character might be all about fashion but Leighton shared her top real-life beauty tips at a recent event for her fragrance with Vera Wang, Lovestruck.

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester walk out of their trailers on the set of their show Gossip Girl on Wednesday (August 31) in New York City.
The ladies were joined on the set by their co-star Chace Crawford, who walked around in a gray t-shirt while waiting for his scene.
Blake reportedly just returned from visiting her rumored boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio in Australia, where he is hard at work on his film The Great Gatsby.

Season 5 Speculation! Are Gossip Girl’s New Shady Ladies Teaming Up?
We’ve long suspected that Elizabeth Hurley’s new Gossip Girl character, Dianna Payne, might be up to no good. Now we’ve just got a fresh bit of evidence!
So why are we so skeptical about Chace Crawford’s (Nate) new makeout buddy in the first place? Well, producers describe Dianna as a “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with.” She’s set to shake things up for everyone on the Upper East Side — plus, her name is Dianna Payne, for crying out loud. That’s not exactly subtle.
The latest bit of evidence fueling the fire of our D.Payne doubt? She’s been spotted with Gossip Girl’s queen con artist herself: Kaylee Defer (Charlie Ivy)!
On August 30, photographers snapped Kaylee and Elizabeth chilling on set in NYC and sporting matching black robes as the waited to film a GG scene. Of course, filming one simple scene together doesn’t necessarily mean these two are in cahoots — but that certainly would make a lot of sense!
The power-hungry media mogul enlists the UES-prepped teenage con artist to do her evil bidding? Sounds like a pretty solid theory to us!

Playing Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl affords Leighton Meester the luxury of stepping out in an array of high fashion heels.
So, you could hardly blame her for plumping for a more comfortable pair of Ugg-style boots in a break from filming the hit show in New York earlier today.
The 25-year-old star teamed a stunning animal print style dress with a perfectly placed beret and an oversized red bag as she waited for action.

However, she was back to her more familiar self later - changing into a pair of more suitably fashionable black and white heels as she filmed a scene with co-star Ed Westwick.
Westwick, who plays materialistic Chuck Bass on the show, was spotted holding a dog on a lead while he and Meester chatted to crew members
The pair later looked a little bemused while filming in Central Park accompanied by a duck.

Wearing a dark blue suit, Westwick held on to the animal, while a smiling Meester stroked its feathers.
They are both busy filming the fifth season of the hit show, which airs on U.S. network The CW.
Meanwhile their co-star Chace Crawford was busy getting up close and personal with new cast member Kaylee DeFer as they filmed a kissing scene.

Yesterday Blake Lively was spotted on set, soon after returning from a long haul flight from Australia to visit rumoured boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio.

They were spotted enjoying an intimate dinner at Aria, which overlooks Sydney Harbour, before visiting a wildlife park on Monday.
Elizabeth Hurley is also currently filming the latest series of the show, where she plays media mogul Diana Payne.

Looks like the cast of Gossip Girl is – wait for it – quacking up!
While shooting scenes for The CW drama's upcoming fifth season, Leighton Meester mingled with a local duck at New York's Central Park Wednesday.
The actress was later joined by costar Ed Westwick, who shared some screen time of his own with the brown bird. Lately, Westwick has mostly been accompanied on set by the show's newest addition, a dog. Things are becoming a real animal house on the Upper East Side!

Ed Westwick once pretended to be in the army to pick up a girl.
The 'Gossip Girl' star admitted he had trouble attracting the opposite sex before he became famous and had to resort to desperate measures, although they didn't always work.
He told Australia's 2Day FM radio's 'Kyle and Jackie O Show': "I told one girl I was in the army, I pulled the serviceman thing. Before my 'Gossip Girl' days. It didn't work, I got thrown back. I should have had the uniform, it would have made things very different."
Ed's 'Gossip Girl' co-star Blake Lively is currently dating Leonardo DiCaprio, who he recently worked with on Clint Eastwood's new movie 'J. Edgar' and the 24-year-old star joked their relationship will only last if he doesn't "put the moves" on either of them.
Asked if the couple will last he quipped: "Yeah maybe who knows, depends if I choose to put the moves on either one of them.
"I did just work with him recently. I had a role in Clint Eastwood's new movie 'J. Edgar' with him.
"I play a young FBI agent so I'm really looking forward to that."

The cast of Gossip Girl was back to work in the Big Apple yesterday, filming at multiple locations around town. Blake Lively changed from green shorts and a sweater into sequins and a flowy skirt, while Leighton Meester, in a camel fascinator and leopard-print shift, teamed up with Ed Westwick at Central Park's duck pond. Chace Crawford got back to work as well, sharing an exchange of words, and hot kisses, with returning face Kaylee DeFer. The small-screen costars went their separate ways over the Summer. Blake vacationed in Europe and recently visited Leonardo DiCaprio in Australia, as Leighton promoted Vera Wang's latest fragrance, Love Struck, and talked makeup tips with BellaSugar. The entire gang has been steadily working for the past month, on both coasts, for what's sure to be an exciting return on Sept. 26 following their jaw-dropping season four finale.

Some interesting and puzzling Gossip Girl set photos
Most of the time when we show you set photos here, they are pretty standard stuff-- Leighton Meester and Blake Lively strolling in the park in pretty dresses, Ed Westwick bedazzled in a suit, Penn Badgley looking like scruffy Dan Humphrey.
But this set of recent photos holds a few surprises about the upcoming season.
There was a lot of action on the New York set of the show yesterday with Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford and Kaylee Defer all reporting to work.
One of the biggest surprises might be a kissing scene shot between Chace and newcomer Kaylee. Will Nate Archibald be getting down with Serena's faux cousin Charlie in Season 5? And how will this affect his May-December romance with guest star Elizabeth Hurley, who plays the character of Diana Payne in the new season? Knowing cousin Charlie's history (or should we say Ivy's history), she could just be scheming and using Nate to get what she wants.
In another revealing and strange photo, we see Chuck Bass holding a duck. We have no idea what will be going on with Chuck next season, but we can't imagine any scenario where the character would need to hold a duck. And this isn't the first time that Ed Westwick was photographed with a dog on set. His character has been spotted walking a dog as well.
In less exciting - but still interesting - news, we get our first glimpse of Serena's new love interest (played by actor Brian Smith) and see her laugh like a hyena all at the same time.
And it looks like Blair is taking this whole royal wedding thing seriously. She's apparently getting into the hat trend. But, in all seriousness, we love this look on Leighton.

'Gossip Girl' season 5: Blake Lively appears to have fun on set
Blake Lively is one of the cornerstones of " Gossip Girl ," and on Thursday the actress returned to the show's set wearing a rather chic outfit -- but most importantly a giant smile on her face.
So where has Lively been as of late? The actress was most recently on a trip to Australia, where she spent some time taking in some of the sights (including a wildlife park) with boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo is currently in the country shooting an adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" with director Baz Luhrmann (who he worked with previously on "Romeo + Juliet").
As for what's coming up for Lively's character of Serena, we know that she is going to spend a considerable amount of time this season in Los Angeles -- which is one of the destinations in which she is going to try and establish some serious direction for her life. (On this occasion, though, she was shooting in New York City.)
