BINGO!

I have to say, I am really amazed at how many Dair fans actually think this is another dream kiss in light of the fact that we essentially and logically know Dair is coming and even the chronology of the the things we know or have heard rumor of are all still falling in place one after another. The GG writers are BAD. That's a given but the one thing they have done in the past two years is handle Dair with an actual deft, creative hand---this pairing alone is the only creative thing of quality they have churned out in years. Years!

As soon as I saw the chronology of those Met pics yesterday there is nothing about them which gave me a fake or dream or scheme vibe. It seemed so obvious to me that Blair doesn't have her ring so she's single, that Dan is trying to literally coax her out of her town car and up the stairs while hiding that tiara in his coat, that he surprises her with it, and based on the Twitter comments from fans watching he gives her a little pep talk, that the minions fangirl and that Blair then pulls him in for an exceedingly comfortable little "thank you, you are an awesome boyfriend Dan Humphrey" type kiss. It's just meant to be a sweet moment born of a sweet gesture. It's not played as a melodramatic, dream-like passionate "second kiss of the ages". This was a TOTAL couple move. She doesn't think twice or hesitate in pulling him in and resting her hands on his chest, grabbing his lapels, whatnot nor is he taken aback by her gestures. He naturally leans in for the quick smooch like it's completely organic bf-gf behavior on both their parts. There is NO WAY to my mind they aren't already seeing each other by the time the Met steps happens.

You'd think if it were a dream and that if the show were going to go through the hassle of location shooting outside the Met and putting Blair in a glamorous gown that they'd make which ever character is having the dream make the kiss more dramatic and passion-fueled. Blair would certainly dream him at least dressed in one of his suits I'd think, LOL. Instead it appears to be all flawless Dair sweetness. So I don't care that it's a really brief peck if they decide to go with the kiss version because I already feel they are together so for me it's just all swoony goodness. They are sooooo already seeing each other IMO so I feel confident that there are interior location passionate kisses we just obviously won't see until we see them.
