gossip girl chair rant I will always love gossip girl, it’s been my favourite show for years. But all this crap happening in season 4 is intolerable, and I don’t think it is necessary also. I’ve loved Chuck from the very start, and only started to like Blair when they had an affair. I will always be Chair.
However all the things they are doing to Chuck, how he’s taking a step back again and again, instead of maturing, I extremely disgust. He’s experienced the simple life in France, he’s enjoyed it and yet they continue to ruin his character. In fact, almost every character in Gossip Girl is ruined except for Blair, who is greatly maturing. How they manage to place a shocking, yet slightly expected plot like Dair then brush it away like it was nothing the following episodes is pointless. Also the fact that the beginning of Season 4 was one of its best; nonetheless the episode after felt like nothing emotional happened between them in the previous episode. You cannot tell someone that it wouldn’t be your world without them in it, and act blankly the next days after. To be honest, it’s actually getting awfully ridiculous.
For who Blair will have a happy-ever-after with, I’m now unsure of my choice. If they didn’t show the incident at the end of 4x20, I would have remained strong for Chair. I still believe and have hope for them, but I don’t know if their personalities are now compatible with one another. I think Blair will be fine on her own as the Queen of Manhattan, based on the 4x20’s event, although Chuck must mature and be closer to Rufus, who will be his father figure seeing as his main problem is not having family. Blair is the only thing that has ever been real to him, and the way he lashed out on her can only be blamed on the writers and how he wanted acceptance that he rarely received from his father. From the very start, Chair have had the strongest chemistry whether abusing each other, being madly in love, comforting or scheming, and I don’t think you can crash that all now.
The start of Season 4 was beautiful; nonetheless it has rapidly gone downhill with the silly plots and uncalled for new characters. I hope the writers will put a stop to all the meaningless situations, and give everyone a happy ending. Even if Chair does not end up together, which I certainly hope will not happen; they will both separately be blissful with their lives. I wish that to all of the other characters also, except Vanessa, because we all hate her.
I will continue to watch Gossip Girl, even if it isn’t as amazing as it used to be because it is my favourite show and no other can change that. So…

I have hope for this, he’s Chuck Bass. He will fight to death until he can have her. He won’t stop now. I mean look at them perfection.
