No” always means “no”. If you mean “yes”, say “yes”. If someone says “no” to you, stop.

Yeah, it wasn't out of character for Chuck to do what he did
The writers wrote him that way, because since season two, that is what he has been like. It was really the only way they could try and pull Chuck and Blair off, by showing how damaged he was. That was how they adapted his character and gave him depth. I personally would have preferred no Chuck/Blair and to have him stay as he was in the start of season one. You know, how he was supposed to be. But it was actually kind of inevitable of him to result to this because realistically, you know, in the real world, people like Chuck with severe ‘mental’ issues behave like that.
His perception of love, and people in general prove that. It hasn’t only been recently, or since the end of season two. He just doesn’t know how to feel emotions like regular human beings. He can’t process it. People are belongings. Note, he didn’t say to Blair: “I’m yours.” Instead, he said: “You’re mine.” Chuck isn’t a romantic. He is a misogynist and it is crazy that he actually ‘fell’ for Blair. I actually don’t understand how that happened, they never really explained that. Like, why was she different from others after he slept with her? He had butterflies but WHY? Anyway, getting off topic.
Point being, I see people say that the writers have to ‘redeem’ Chuck, and ‘save’ Chuck and Blair. But I don’t think that is possible. You could not legitimately pass that off and have a happy ending. And as the writers said, they try to treat the characters are living human beings. And if they stick to that, then I am not suspecting Chuck and Blair to be endgame. But if they actually magically throw them together and have Blair say another speech about how love makes everything simple, it will just confirm what shithouse writers they are. I mean, they already completely tainted the show by not following the books. God bless them though.
Also, if I see another person try to blame Chuck’s freak out attack on Blair, I will lose my shit. People are responsible for their own actions. Like, Chuck chose to get wasted. And considering how that is his coping mechanism, can he legitimately go to fucking rehab? Perhaps that could redeem him! Except… not. If you think I am being overly critical of dear Charles Bartholomew Bass, you can eat it. Also, Chuck/Blair do have an abusive relationship and pretty much always have. Abuse can range from emotional, physical, mental, sexual, you know. And television writers and produces shouldn’t promote that. Peace out.
