OMFG. I was a Chace Crawford fan until last night. Ed has this strong gaze and when he looks in your direction- you feel paralyzed! I’ve met lots of dreamy male celebs (Clooney, Patrick Dempsey, Paul Walker) but none have made me blush like Mr. Chuck Bass. Adding to his appeal? His British accent. I asked Ed to do his best impression of his roommate Chace… and hearing him switch from a British to an American accent is adorable! Ed made my night a breeze and reminded me how much fun “work” can be.

Ed Westwick plays billionaire bad boy Chuck Bass on “Gossip Girl,” but in real life, the TV star lives in an upscale one-bedroom rental at the Edge complex in hipster-friendly Williamsburg. The Brooklyn development’s online description boasts that it’s “more than just a place to live. It’s a philosophy.” We wonder what posh Upper East Siders would think about that. One-bedrooms listed for rent at the Edge are around 700 square feet and range from $3,000 to $3,750 a month. One-bedroom condos are around $550,000 to $750,000. We hear that Westwick originally visited the Edge with an eye on buying, but the commitment-challenged actor ended up renting. Amenities include a pool with three glass walls and Manhattan views. The Edge is also home to the weekly Brooklyn Flea market and Smorgasburg food fair.

“The surroundings are very much that of billionaire bad boy Chuck Bass, but the clothes are very relaxed like Ed Westwick in real life. The collection has lots of great-fitting jeans, stylish tees, but with a well-tailored blazer to kick it a notch higher,” says Mendoza.
Working with Westwick
Ed Westwick is indeed quite a match for PENSHOPPE—“He is a perfect image model for where we want to go. He evokes prestige, strength, and is a global character,” says Mendoza.
One of Ed’s best qualities is that he’s stylish without being too self-conscious, brimming with confidence, yet able to maneuver between the demands of work and his social calendar. As a celebrity he’s often in the spotlight just by being his dapper self, as his personal and professional life is constantly documented by the paparazzi.
While working with an international celebrity might seem daunting, Mendoza shares how the stint with Ed was a breeze: “Ed was an incredibly polite and well-mannered guy.
