| GOSSIP GIRL 524 COMPLETE* FINALE SPOILERS
*EDIT: I know the title says complete but some minor scenes are missing and it’s not entirely in order. Spoilers were written from memory to the best of my ability. It’s not perfect so “complete” in this context just means this is the general flow of the episode.
-Blair’s diary is leaked by Gossip Girl. Enraged by this, Blair and her friends plot to make Serena’s life a living hell, and to contact people her diary mentioned, telling them that the entries are old.
-Serena tries to explain that she didn’t mean for it to leak, but that reading it convinced her Blair is still in love with Chuck. Blair tells her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and kicks her out of their penthouse.
-Dan and his father have breakfast at their apartment and discuss his marriage while Dan uses his laptop. He reads an entry from Blair’s diary and his father asks if he wants to talk about it. Dan leaves.
-An employee arrives at Chuck’s room and gives him the engagement ring he had thrown away. Chuck opens it and then puts it away.
-Nate’s girlfriend is given a job opportunity in Los Angeles. She is enthusiastic but unsure, though Nate is withdrawn. He is pining over another character and his girlfriend suspects something.
-Bart talks with Chuck in his penthouse. He feels that although his marriage to Serena’s mother was near its end, he may have a chance of convincing her they can be together if he tells her the sacrifice he made for her. Meanwhile, Chuck reads Gossip Girl and rushes into his room.
-Blair talks to her mother and tells her not to go online today, and then enlists her friends to cancel an event Serena had been invited to. She gets a call from both Dan and Chuck. She leaves.
-Serena gets a call uninviting her from the event. She is mad, but notices an invitation to a function on the counter in front of her. She calls Dan.
-Nate deletes a number from his phone and shortly after his girlfriend confronts him, thinking he’s hiding something. He takes a key out of his pocket and asks her to move in with him. She tells him she’ll have to think about it.
-Dan is at his loft, trying to call Blair. She isn’t answering. He gets a call from Serena asking him if he’s talked to Blair about going to the function tonight. He says he’s going with his father, and she says she’ll see him there, with Blair.
-Blair goes to visit Chuck. The contents of her diary imply that while she is happy with Dan, committing to him fully and telling him she loves him would mean letting go of Chuck completely, which she isn’t prepared to do. Chuck wants her to make a final decision. She agrees that she needs to, but before she can Dan calls her. She leaves.
-Serena confronts one of Blair’s friends and coerces her to stall Blair when she gets back to her apartment and keep her from attending the function that night.
-Bart arrives at Serena’s mother’s apartment as she’s peparing to leave and tries to explain that he faked his death to protect her. He feels they had something once and might be able to have it again, but she has to think about it.
-Blair finally arrives at Dan’s loft. He tells her he’s been trying to get in touch with her all day and asks where she’s been. She tells him she was just with Chuck. He gets angry and goes into the diary entry, and asks if she can let go of Chuck. She says she doesn’t know. He asks if she’s going to the function he’s attending that night, but she says she felt compelled to go to the event at the Empire in honor of Bart to see if Chuck would be OK. Dan blows up and tells her she has to make a choice, and tells her to leave so he can get ready.
-People and press begin to arrive at the Empire, Nate and his girlfriend among them. Nate talks to Chuck about Blair’s diary and says he doesn’t want to choose sides but in the end he hopes both he and Dan are happy. Chuck says he could care less about Dan, he just wants Blair to make up her mind. Chuck leaves and Nate talks to his girlfriend. She tells him she cares about him but she doesn’t want to give up on her opportunity, but that maybe she can move in when she gets back, if he still wants to be with her. He says he will and kisses her.
-Dan and Serena arrive at their function. Serena wants to get something to drink and have fun, but Dan keeps checking his phone. Serena gets fed up and goes to the bar by herself, texting someone.
-Blair arrives at the Empire event as Bart gives his speech. He tells the audience how proud he is of how Chuck managed the business in his absence, but that he is taking back complete control. This shocks the audience and Chuck, who storms out. Blair follows, and Bart scans the audience before leaving the stage.
-Dan is talking to his father about how Blair hasn’t arrived yet, when he gets a blast about how Blair was spotted at the Empire event. He storms out, leaving his phone on the table, but just as his father goes to follow him, Serena say she’ll see if he’s OK. She pockets his phone and follows him. His father turns around and Serena’s mother is there. He says that he expected her to be at the Empire, but she says she’s exactly where she wants to be. They kiss. He says they still have a lot to talk about, but for now they should just enjoy their night together.
-Bart is on the roof of the Empire arguing with his dad. He wants control of the Empire, but now his father is taking it from him. Bart says Chuck’s control of it was always just temporary and that, with everything he’s heard over the past several years, Chuck is not ready to take the lead on anything.
-Blair witnesses this but stands back. After Bart leaves she approaches Chuck and tells him what his father said wasn’t fair. Chuck is angry and dismisses her, saying he doesn’t want to see her until she makes her choice. She says that a part of her will always love him, but that part is also keeping her from being happy with someone else. Chuck says it’s the same for him and again demands a choice. She says that with everything they’ve been through, she doesn’t know if she can trust him, because she sometimes feels insignificant next to him. If she’s ever with someone again, it needs to be someone she can be her complete self with. She says the person she spends the rest of her life with has to be someone she doesn’t lose herself in. He pulls out the ring and says he doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life with her, because like his father said he’s not ready to take the lead on anything, and he doesn’t want to play second fiddle to her. He tells her to take the ring and get out of his sight. She asks him if he can really give her up, and he says yes. She leaves, crying. In the elevator she texts Dan and says she’ll be there soon and she’s sorry she’s late.
-As Serena chases after Dan, she stops when Dan’s phone vibrates and answers it. She texts back not to bother showing up.
-Serena follows Dan into a bar area and slips the phone into his pocket. She tells him she talked to Blair who she said to tell him not to wait up because she’s with Chuck. They talk and drink and Dan says he doesn’t know what happened, he knew Blair was constantly drawn to Chuck, but he thought this time was different. Serena says they’ve just always loved each other and denied it for too long. Dan looks at her and Serena moves in to kiss him. Just as they start to make out, Dan’s phone vibrates. It’s Blair again, asking why he doesn’t want to see her. Dan catches on and realizes what Serena did, snaps at her, and storms out.
-Blair arrives at her building to find the friend who Serena coerced. She yells at her and tells her to spill what she’s doing there. She explains that Serena wanted to keep her from going to the party. Blair gets mad, turns around, and asks her driver to take her to the function.
-Serena cries by herself at the bar and takes a pill before taking a drink. She wanders off into the party grabs a guy by the arm, and flirts with him into coming with her. They make out at the bar and have sex, and imagines him as Dan. A party-goer peeks into the room from above, films it, and sends it into Gossip Girl.
-Dan goes back to the party and tells his father he’s going back to the loft, and to tell Blair to meet him there if she shows up. The guy from the bar area re-emerges and disappears back into the party. Dan leaves.
-As Dan is leaving, he finds Serena stumbling around outside. He sees that she’s gotten drunk or overdosed and helps her into a cab. Just as he’s doing this, Blair arrives at the same location and gets the blast about Serena and “Dan.” She looks out the window and sees them getting into a cab together. She drops her phone as she looks on in shock. She then reaches into her pocket and grasps something, looking contemplative.
After that some time has passed and it’s daytime. The closing sequence begins.
-Blair and Dan are finished. She refuses to let him or Serena explain. Serena has been crashing at Dan’s since her collapse. She wants Dan to admit they still have a connection, but Dan is still mad at her, and wants her to get help. He contacts his father and asks him to tell Serena’s mother that she’s still at the loft but she should come see her now, because he can’t keep an eye on her anymore.
-Nate is seeing his girlfriend to a cab. She has her bags packed and is ready to go. She says she misses him and hopes to be back soon, and she hopes they can work long-distance. Nate tells her he loves her and kisses her goodbye. She says it back and gets into the cab. She waves as her cab drives away and he smiles.
-Dan gets into his cab on his way to the airport and is joined by Georgina. She tells him he can’t go on his trip because she has an even better literary opportunity for him to pursue. She knows the identity of Gossip Girl and is going to give him an all-access pass to the real deal. She pulls out a photograph to which Dan replies, “oh my god.”
-Accompanied by a voice-over about how everyone will be spending their summer vacation, Blair is shown spending time with Chuck at a casino. A banner behind them says Monte Carlo.

The one tidbit he did give up was that he found the shoot very awkward. “My friend over here just asked me, ‘Wasn’t it easy for you to go on stage? You’re always doing that.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I’m the star. And I had to play someone second fiddle.’” Ever the jokester, Saporta hinted that his guest turn included tons of sex.

| I’ve been doing as much snooping as humanely possible so here’s my 2 cents on the finale: Dan and Serena WILL kiss but at some point they will stop and have a discussion (as in the promo) and Dan will storm off. Later that evening a Dan looklike emerges, Serena hits it off (drunk and naturally attracted to Dan lookalike) and sleeps with him. She is too drunk and at one point blurts out Dans name as an error. Someone sees/films this and GG gets the scoop.
It was hinted that Serena will have TWO love interest by the season finale, one is a character we know of, so this ties to two scenarios together. Plus regardless of how skewed and twisted the promos can be, the kiss between Serena and Dan does happen since Dan openly discusses it (Serena manipulating him in to cheating).
Overall i’ve been really disappointed with the last two episodes- the writers have shat all over the sweetness of Dair.

нет,я понимаю чем может порадовать конец Чейр!но чем нас то в итоге он должен порадовать?

Судя по всему, нам уже радоваться нечему. И к чему Барт говорил, что Дэн будет в порядке? Что найдет себе отдушину в новой книге на основе того, что он теперь знает, кто такая сплетница.
Честно, я завидую ему.

| Я понимаю что если они сделают Чейр сейчас то мгут в конце 6ого сезона сделать эндгейм Дейр! и это единственное на что я надеюсь. я очень не хочу остаться летом с мыслью в голове что наших няшечек могут развести навсегда....

| Я не понимаю логики. Она сказала Бассу что Дениэл в её сердце... и после этого она ещё думает как вернуться к Бассу. Знаете как сказал Джонни Депп "Если судьба поставила тебя пред выбором среди двух мужчин, то выбери второго, ведь если бы первый не причинил тебе боль, то второй бы и не появился бы в твоей жизни." | я вообще это нашла на тумблике, без понятия, правда или нет. Народ активно строчит, что мол конец будет для всех : вроде выберет Дэна, но тот уже свалит, и в конце посиделки с Чаком в Монако, но опять же вопрос, Ози писал что в казино ТОЛЬКО ОДИН кто-то будет. В общем, ждем и верим
